Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE/UAE)

Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment for uterine fibroids that preserves the uterus. Using image guidance, a tiny catheter is placed into the arteries supplying the fibroids, and small particles are placed to block blood flow. Over time, the fibroids shrink, helping relieve symptoms such as heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure—often with a shorter recovery time than traditional surgery and a faster return to normal activities.
